I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this reverse osmosis filtration system and one thing that stopped me from purchasing this unit was two negative Revain reviews. But after studying the characteristics of this device and comparing it with other reverse osmosis filters, I decided to take a risk. and I'm SO HAPPY I did. It was everything I wanted in a reverse osmosis machine. and much more ADVANTAGES: LOW WATER CONSUMPTION. One thing that drew me to this machine was the low waste compared to other reverse osmosis filters. We have a rim well so every gallon counts. Some other devices waste 10 gallons of water for every 1 gallon of good water. Good cars are 1 litter per 1 good gallon. Great cars are 1 waste for 1.5 good ones. According to the iSpring website, this machine has a 2:1 ratio, which means that for every 2 gallons of good water it produces, it only uses 1 gallon of water. EFFICIENT FILTRATION. This filter filters water very effectively. I tested our unfiltered water and it had 333 parts per million dissolved solids. When using the filter it was 11ppm (when I took the picture). After the picture it actually dropped to 9ppm. And the taste is fantastic too! NO TANK - There is no storage tank (like most reverse osmosis filters). Now under my kitchen sink is clean and tidy. FAST RIVER SPEED. We have had several reverse osmosis machines (with storage tank) in the past. and they drip and drip for hours, wasting a lot of precious water just to fill the water tank. Since there was no reservoir for this filter, I was concerned before purchasing that water would drip into my cup. But it flows much faster than I expected! I filled a large drinking glass in about 20 seconds and a 1 gallon pitcher of water in about 2 minutes and 45 seconds. The iSpring website says 500 gpd (gallons per day). Very impressive! REALLY EASY INSTALLATION. The device was fairly easy to install. I would say it was a little easier to install than a standard reservoir type reverse osmosis filter. But this unit has all the water lines connected to the reverse osmosis filter in the same place, so it looks a lot cleaner. The "SMART" FAUCET is another benefit of this filter (which I didn't realize when I bought it). is that the faucet actually has a digital readout that shows how many parts per million your water is when it comes out. Cool! I used a separate manual ppm tester to make sure it was accurate. and it was spot on CONS: COST - A con is obviously the price. With taxes, this device cost nearly $600. But I think the investment was worth it for my family. I was hesitant to spend that kind of money on a water filter, but I'm glad I did. I am VERY happy with my new reverse osmosis filtration system and would recommend it to anyone looking for a machine! Nobody paid me or asked me to write this review. It's from just one HAPPY customer!
