    Excellent System: Water Filtration and Softening

    This is an excellent reverse osmosis system. Recently moved and had to install RO. I searched for a long time and decided on this model. Previously iSpring used reverse osmosis systems. It's awesome. The faucet tells you in real time how many ppm of water it is dispensing. The device beeps when the filter cartridge needs to be replaced. iSpring customer support is fantastic.     Disappointing - under sink and countertop filter

    As another reviewer noted, water tastes bad when drunk straight from the tap. You have to run the faucet for a minute or two to get the real purified water you paid for. Fast flow is good but useless if we have to wait 90 seconds every time you need water. To solve this problem, we filled various jars that helped us get through most of the day.     Excellent customer service. Complicated installation.

    The product looks great and fits perfectly under my sink. I installed it myself. As an engineer who has done several DIY projects around the house and created many procedures over the years, I felt comfortable installing it. Unfortunately the procedure wasn't very clear so I used some youtube videos for this build. It took me 2-3 hours to install and I did everything myself.     Do Not Buy This Product

    If you are looking for a water filtration system, look for one that still has filters available. You cannot get replacement filters for this RO500, making it a waste of money. I've had mine since February 2021, in March I started looking for replacement filters and found there weren't any. It is now August and the FCF500 (CF) filter which has lasted up to a year already needs to be replaced. But like I said, you can't buy them anywhere!     Water tastes great!

    Before using this RO500 I studied reverse osmosis systems. Along with all the great benefits of reverse osmosis water, I also needed a nice, compact, quiet, and low-maintenance filtration system.     This is a good compact reverse osmosis system with a fairly simple design so there is no guesswork about the water quality or when to change the filter. This takes up about half the space under the sink that most reverse osmosis systems take up and greatly reduces complexity.     Doesn't work as advertised

    Benefits: Takes up less space under the sink than a standard tank filter. Smooth run. You don't have to wait for the tank to be full, the water flows continuously. Disadvantages: The TDS meter at the water outlet is very inaccurate. The specs say a good water to sewage ratio of 2:1, on my machine it's closer to 2:2 as I have to pump 1 to 1.5 gallons every other day to get the sump TDS up to 165 bring.
