Review on Enhanced Filtration Monitoring with iSpring RO500 Tankless System by Adolfo Goins

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Doesn't work as advertised

Benefits: Takes up less space under the sink than a standard tank filter. Smooth run. You don't have to wait for the tank to be full, the water flows continuously. Disadvantages: The TDS meter at the water outlet is very inaccurate. The specs say a good water to sewage ratio of 2:1, on my machine it's closer to 2:2 as I have to pump 1 to 1.5 gallons every other day to get the sump TDS up to 165 bring. From 200 to 65 My previous reservoir under counter filter read 55 to 65 TDS with a calibrated TDS meter. I have contacted the manufacturer and will see if there is a repairable defect. At this point in time, I wouldn't recommend buying it because of the price. UPDATE: The seller sent a new water spout with a more accurate TDS meter. In terms of actual filtration, there are other high volume tankless filtration systems that filter better for half the price. They don't have a pump, they don't have LEDs, they don't even look pretty, but they're under the sink, not in the display case. I stand by my recommendation. This system is not worth the price. Update: The description says the CF filter lasts a year. I didn't notice until the replacement CF filer light came on almost exactly 6 months after installation. According to the manual, this filter should be changed every 6 months. I guess we'll see how long other filters last. The recommendation remains the same.

Cons
  • High price
