I may not have read or understood the description fully but I wish these spoon holders were a little stronger. When you pick one up (even without anything on it) it feels like soft silicone instead of holding its shape. You definitely won't be able to move it with a spoon unless you're very, very careful. But they're bigger, cheaper, and get the job done, so at the end of the day I can't complain too much. I actually left a plastic spoon on one of them too close to the gas burner (obviously) and it started to melt, but the spoon rest was fine so I'd say they are very heat resistant!
