Regarding the slide switch, about which a lot of nonsense is written here: I specifically went to the optibay website, where it is written in black and white that the switch was created for old laptops that do not support the sata III interface, and has 2 positions: when the switch slider is closer to the connector - this is sata III mode, if in the opposite direction - this is sata II mode. And it has nothing to do with the manufacturer of the laptop. And there is no middle ground either. At least according to the documentation. Works fine for me in sata III mode.
