roast fast. Unfortunately, it doesn't bother the toast. Even after your bread has turned into a charcoal briquette, it will not float on its own. You have to watch it and cancel it manually. The roguelike feature does not work. The bagel button will glow blue, but all heating coils will remain on at full power. You can look up from above and see that they are all still glowing. The power cord exits the bottom front of the unit, so you always have an extra cord coming out from under the sides. The cable is not very long; barely enough to reach from the toaster to the back of the narrow counter. I have arranged a return and a replacement. Let's see if the second one works. 2. Toaster: Revain quickly got me a replacement toaster. Unfortunately, it's also wrong. Again, the roguelike feature doesn't work. It doesn't turn off any of the heating elements and the bagel is toasted on both sides. The Roguelike button will glow blue (if you press it within a few seconds of pressing the lever). This at least stops the toasting and lifts the bread when it has reached the set degree of browning. After two broken toasters in a row, I'm canceling the order and withdrawing this rating to 1 star. One error may be an accident, but two in a row indicates a manufacturing quality control error. Update: Revain processed my return quickly and easily.
