As good as you really need it. Pistol not included.

Exactly what I wanted for the money. I can hear the alarm from our bedroom and it's loud enough to feel like an eardrum vibrates when it goes off if you stand by it. Not as loud as the building's fire alarm system, but loud enough to deter someone who shouldn't enter your home while you're sleeping. Understandably, the chances of this happening are extremely slim in most areas, but for around $15 I'd say it's worth buying just to be prepared. A pack of ketchup for the scales. I'll update my review if that sucks, but I doubt it's cheap and easy.
