Review on Sceptre C248B-144R: A Curved 24 πŸ’» Inch 1080P DisplayPort Monitor with FreeSyncTM Technology by Thomas Kharlamov

Great monitor at a great price

I currently have two other Lenovo ips 1080p 60hz monitors with excellent color reproduction so expectations were pretty high. I read reviews about the color needing to be corrected so trying it myself didn't work. I used the windows color profiles set for my ips monitors downloaded from lenovo to get perfect colors. After adjusting the profiles and playing with brightness, backlight and contrast, it has the same colors as my ips monitors but with slightly lighter blacks. I'm using it with an EVGA 1070 and although it does hiccup at times after launching the game for the first time. times with a-sync it works 95% without problems. My only concern are games that can set the refresh rate manually. If you set it to 60fps with 144Hz active, it will be a little Phantom. This is my first monitor above 60Hz so I'm not sure if this will happen. with other monitors. That issue aside, it never flickered or flickered, the extra dynamic brightness makes it great for horror games but distracting for games per second.
