I built one of these to test a location for wind power, the unit voltage increases with wind speed. If you are serious about wind energy, you need a wind or hybrid controller to manage batteries, brake, free spin, etc. plus a resistor bank to give it something to do after your system is fully charged; otherwise is does put out wattage when the wind is really blowing hard.
