I had to make some holes in one Sink 1/8 6061 aluminum rod for a synth cabinet project In theory these are suitable according to the seller The attached photo is the best I could get, using super slow feeds at high spindle speeds (lower speeds completely destroyed the aluminum) The punch is bad and vibrates every time the bit just touches the shank.I've tried three different attachments and consistently had bad results, although some were much worse.I've attributed some of this to my drill press runout, but I put it in my hand drill thrown and you can see the runout and poor handling in the attached video in. The little case is nice and all, but who cares if the product inside is junk? The fact that the waves are round and not grooved like in the product photos doesn't help. .
