is quiet, it's dead quiet. Fans only run at 375rpm, 3950X idle at 37oC, light load at 48oC, full load at 60oC (even without thermal paste, wait for Artic MX-4, it should drop the board a few more degrees). didn't bother the DDR4 slot on my X570 Aorus Ultra mobo - AM4 brackets included - Easy to install brackets, screws. Cons: - Paper instructions are pretty primitive. I was expecting a more detailed guide for the $180 product. The instructions in the manuals are incomplete: I spent hours trying to figure out why the fan is running 100% until I read an online PDF manual and found that I didn't need to connect SATA power (yes, if you connect a SATA connection, the fans always run at 100%). Plug the 4-pin X73 fan headers into a PWM hub or motherboard and have the fan speed controlled. RPM straight down from 2400rpm to 375rpm, noise from 56db (audible noise) to 36db (very quiet) Notes: Here is a diagram (at least to get it working with the Aorus Ultra X570) 4 pin motherboard connectors <-- -> 3-pin PWM hub connectors <----> 4-pin AOI cooler fan connectors (SATA not required). Do not connect SATA if your motherboard or PWM hub can already supply enough voltage.
