We bought this muslin sleeping bag because our apartment has no air conditioning and the summer was very hot. The boy loves being swaddled or wrapped in a blanket but our halo diaper is too heavy and thick and muslin blankets don't hold the diaper well and I didn't want to throw a blanket over a newborn! a muslin blanket from the same company in our Revain Newborn Welcome Box and we LOVE it. We bought the matching hedgehog sleeping bag because we know the material is light and cozy. Our baby is 3 weeks old and probably around 9 pounds, we bought a small one and it has enough room to grow, we don't need to buy another one this summer. We washed it as soon as we received it and used it that night (our room was 79C) and the baby slept soundly. He likes to have his arms outstretched so this design was perfect for him and he stayed calm in just a onesie and a bag. The 2-way zip comes in very handy for changing diapers at midnight and the pocket makes it easy to pick him up and feed him without worrying about him getting tangled up in the duvet. and after carefully inspecting the stitching and zipper, I couldn't find any problems. The fabric is a little tangled or wrinkled from the dryer but I shook it out and smoothed it out and it was fine again. The muslin fabric is thin and breathable, which means the fabric is lightweight. If it gets caught it will pull or unravel so you have to be a bit gentle with it. Overall we love it and will buy more for future kids and hot summers.
