This device does a good job of controlling pressure. It has better flow than small fixed regulators, but its consumption is significantly lower than similar watt devices. I tested 2 small fixed pressure regulators. One had a 5/16" outlet and regulated 45 psi and a flow rate of 6.17 gpm, the other had a 7/64" orifice and regulated 50 psi with a flow rate of 5.79 gallons per minute. A similar (but significantly more expensive) Watts regulator had a flow rate of 7.56 gpm. The Renator had a flow rate of 6.51 GPM. In an RV, flow is critical. Watt has better consumption (by 16%) but costs almost twice as much. The Rentor has slightly more flow (5.5%) than the 7/64" fixed regulator and 12.4% more flow than the 5/16" fixed regulator.
