This swimsuit has a modest fit and is very comfortable. It is not high cut like standard/competition suits and the shoulder straps are slightly wider than standard suits. It also has a lightly padded built-in bra. There are two layers of material making it a bit heavier and less effective than a hip suit. However, it is excellent for water aerobics or water running. Since this is not a hip suit, it differs slightly in size from the overhead speedometers. I'm usually a 32/6 in knee length suits, but a size 6 is too big on this suit (I'm 5 4 inches, 130 lbs). Overall the suit is flattering and the color has not faded after many trips to the pool.
