Definitely thinner than I thought but still seems water resistant and quite durable. This car is my idea and I'm afraid it will still scratch the paint but time will tell. It really fits my Acura TL perfectly. My review will be updated on how the color looks in a few months. UPDATE: I wore the hat for weeks (I took it off once but washed it before putting the hat back on). My paint was in excellent condition so I'm very disappointed. Now scratches all over the body! I strongly recommend NOT to buy this car cover.
