It's castile soap. Castile soap is really effective in cleaning teeth. So I can't comment on its ability to perform its function, it works quite well. However, this is terrible value. There is no difference between castile soap sold for cleaning teeth and soap sold for anything else. Just read the ingredients and make sure there are no surprises. Right now you can get a 32 ounce bottle from Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Pure-Castile liquid soap for $17.99 which I am currently using. That's $2 less for 16 times the amount. I would not recommend anyone to buy soap at this price. I will also note for those who have never tried cleaning soap that for me personally the oil added for flavor makes almost no difference in taste. It smells like mint, but it doesn't taste like mint, it tastes like soap. I tried eucalyptus and tea tree and had the same.
