I work as a mail carrier in New Mexico and when the temperatures drop in January it's no fun working with cold toes. I've tried many brands of wool socks and I've always had cold feet by the end of the shift. I bought them based on wool content and price. I was amazed at how warm my feet are with it! I've worn them with a thin wool sock on very cold evenings and my toes didn't get cold at all. The temp has been in the mid 30's lately and all I'm wearing are these socks and I'm happy with how warm my feet are! They're a little loose, but still comfortable. I will definitely be buying more for myself and for gifts!
