Review on πŸ”§ Lisle 19200 Brake Bleeder Kit by Adolfo Goins

Works as advertised

I purchased this bleed kit to completely replace the brake system on a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. This is a fairly basic device that doesn't generate much enthusiasm. It just does what it's supposed to - collects brake fluid from the drain plug. Including three adapters for brake nipples of different sizes. For example, my van needed a medium sized adapter. Simply slide the adapter onto the long tub and place the short hose on the inside of the lid. Now he's ready to go. Slide the box wrench onto the fitting, then slide the adapter onto the brake fitting and it will hold in place. Open the fitting with a wrench and push the plunger back (with a tool of your choice) and watch the oil flow through the tube. Then close the tap, remove and empty the basin. Quite easy. I didn't use this for a complete brake fluid change; only to remove oil from the back of the piston when it was run in. The jar is small and I poured it out after each assembly of the wheel to keep it from overflowing. Also, keep an eye on the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir so that it does not overflow after applying the new brake and extending the piston. I ended up just having to finish mine when I was done. I'll be using it again on a Toyota in a few weeks and I'm sure it will work well there too. I'll be keeping this tool for future work, but for the price (and compared to what the store charges for brake work) I won't feel bad if I later have to throw it away and buy a new kit for future work. All in all a great part for the occasional shop mechanic and well worth the money I paid for it.
