I've tried mesh solutions from Eero, Orbi, Luma, Google and Samsung and they've all returned to the store for one reason or another. I kept the Google module until this one came out because it was the least bad, but by plugging it in and putting the grid points in the same spots as the Google modules, I immediately saw a huge (+70%) increase in throughput and signal. longevity as well as the advertised latency reduction. That's a beast. Ping 2 ms, 877 Mbps down, 400 Mbps out, sustained, on CenturyLink 1Gb fiber. on a 5 GHz smartphone client. Google WiFi on the same connection had a decent spike but never went above 500Mbps. It doesn't matter. Luma has MU-MIMO and this device is significantly better even with many devices connected at the same time with high bandwidth and streaming (4 Nest HD cameras, TV streaming 4k content, 2 tablets with Netflix and Google Home playing music ). No stuttering, noise reduction, or signal attenuation of any kind. Netflix shows streaming starts immediately with no buffer lag. Installation took all 15 minutes including 2 firmware updates. The mobile app is miles ahead of the competition. In general, this could not but rejoice.
