I bought this pump to use on a do it yourself canister filter project. I've since used it for almost everything it was designed for. I have a model 20. Each model is numbered according to the tank size recommendations. All pumps are submersible, can be installed with suction cups or over the rim, have adjustable flow control and pumps over 20 can change the direction of water flow. Connect a water transfer hose to it, add aeration/bubbles for gas exchange and even filter the water with a quick filter (sold separately). sufficient for now. I'm sure I'll use this thing again one day. That's why it's good, it's so versatile.
