These are similar to the brushes you can buy at the Dollar Store. The bristles are mediocre on some of the smaller brushes. Some of the bristles tend to point in different directions, so don't plan on painting in detail with tiny brushes (I needed this set for that). What I did to fix the smallest brushes in this set was take a pair of scissors and trim the bristles down a bit. This helped align them and squeeze them together a bit for tighter grouping. The large brushes are nice and full, with soft bristles. For a few bucks, this is a decent set of brushes.
