I've been out in the wilderness for decades and take it as a compliment to be called 'cheap'. I settled for pressed-steel cutlery I'd pulled from a kitchen drawer, second-hand, and even plastic spoons and fast-food forks. The taste of the food was more important to me than what I used to put in my mouth. I recently came into modest fortune and decided to treat myself to something I would never have bought otherwise. After seeing this set at a very reasonable price of $20, I ordered a set. I have never owned anything made of titanium and was very pleased with the metal's light weight and considerable strength. I doubt I'll be using a knife other than for spreading peanut butter, but the spoon and fork have a permanent place in the backpack now. I've even started carrying the set to work in my lunch box Great design, excellent workmanship and great price. And unlike a plastic fast-food fork, they won't melt in your Ramein bottle next to a campfire. Don't ask me how I know that.
