Review on πŸ“ Shrink Adhesive - Inch Feet Black by Michael Powell

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This stuff is perfect!

From time to time a tool/product re-evaluates its presentation and application. A few decades ago I used this material in batches and didn't think about it. The insulation was insulation, tape or varnish, so what? With time and distance, pesky [wonder / lump / kleps] shop also needs renovation. When that special someone cuts the jacket on the tool cord for an early release, you'll be back with a new connector in moments. Concerned about dangling lines or tripping hazards? Wrap and protect. Never try to guess AWG or beam diameter again. Just roll up and heat. Looking for cheap insulated tools? Wrap with regular tape and wrap with it. etc. etc. Remember, if it doesn't turn glossy black after heating, then it's not heated enough. How do you know if it's hot? Well, it's a very light puff of smoke when you heat it up with a heat gun, that's a clue.

Pros
  • Suitable for damaged cables or where insulation is required
Cons
  • A newer model could have been selected
