Comes with motor AND metal cowl. This is a very simple process. Remove the lamp cover by pulling down and squeezing the springs. Remove the lightbulb. Only 2 screws need to be loosened. The first bracket is actually a wing nut that holds the lamp shell while the second screw that holds the metal shell is next to the end caps. The tray will tilt to this end and should return at this angle. It does NOT go straight up. The new tray comes with a nut, just like the wing nut.
