I bought this phone in August 2016 to use as an office line in our home. Initially, the device worked as expected - no frills, just a regular phone. After 5.5 months, however, the hands-free system and the call stopped working completely. I contacted Panasonic support via live chat and after 30 seconds of troubleshooting I was told that while the warranty was in effect I would have to pay to ship the unit to Texas (from Virginia) where the unit would be serviced . I was told the service would take 5 business days from arrival and then be sent back via ground service. The end result will be no office phone for more than 2 weeks. The phone was $28.99 on Revain so buying a new phone was the wisest option – either paying $10-12 to have the device shipped and losing access to the phone for 2+ weeks , or pay $28.99 for a new one. So my assessment of this unit is based more on Panasonic's "guarantee" service in connection with a product failure less than 6 months after purchase. In terms of functionality, here's what we found: Pros: - Easy to set up - Plenty of memory for storing phone numbers in the phone book (up to 100 I think) - When it worked, the speakerphone was reasonably clear and loud. Cons: - No headphone jack (I knew that when I bought it, but it's a con if you want to use it) - Speakerphone broke after less than 6 months
