For this price, the fans work great. I use the dual fans to set on top of my A/V receiver.it keeps the air moving just fine (I always use the setting of MEDIUM speed). I cannot hear the fans running from my chair during normal operation of movies and tv shows (I have to turn everything off in order to hear then running). However, when I play my classical music, I can hear the fans during the real quiet musical passages.almost enough to distract from the music. Frankly, I can hear the musicians breathing and the instrument valves clanking more than the fans during the quiet passages. Note: Perhaps I should set the fans on LOW during classical music. Anyway, I'm glad I got these fans. They do the job without breaking my piggy bank :)
