I've been using this microphone stand/boom for my live transmissions for about a week. I make a living from live sound and studios but didn't want to spend $200 on an overpriced mic stand so decided to give it a try. As long as you have the grip strength to tighten everything so it doesn't fall off the mic, this thing works as expected. It's very easy to change position and I have a decent condenser mic that would knock it out if it wasn't powerful enough. It might break someday, but at this price, it's worth buying a few over the course of a few years and still spending less than a third of the cost of expensive, high-end models. The assembly is very easy to understand and the blue color goes very well with my purple and blue table configuration.
