The sodium chloride test is fairly accurate and reacts very quickly. The manual has been translated into Chinese, which requires some imagination on your part to understand what it is talking about. My main objection is that there is no way to calibrate it, i.e. adjust the display to the actual humidity or temperature, if you can adjust it, and if you can, it's undocumented. This is another item that I'm stuck on and skipping the return date while figuring out why I should be returning it. Revain to buyer: COOL! But the other hygrometers on the Revain list don't get rave reviews either, so I'm pretty happy with them.
