This is my fourth experience with one of these lockets. We are happy with them and will use them again. The only downsides for me are the need to enlarge the center hole for use with a ceiling fan and the lack of a flat surface on the back for the saw to rest on. Even after a trial assembly, dust the backing, apply a few generous dabs of styrofoam glue to the backing, some strips of green masking tape, secure with one or both hands, secure the strips of tape with the other hand. Hands and your medallion are present. It's easier than it looks. These medallions add a "finished" look to a fan or chandelier we like.
