Review on Hotel Sheets Direct Bamboo Viscose by Melanee Deal

I have been using pure beech sheets for a long time, I bought half a dozen bath sets and more about 10 years ago and they have held up all along. However, recently some pairs have worn out and got small holes. That meant I went back to buying sheets that stink. I ordered this set while trying to find new sets that I like as the quality of the Pure Beech sets has dropped drastically since my last purchase. When I opened this set I was very excited. They have more shine than pure beech leaves, but that doesn't bother me. They're really soft right out of the box, unlike most sheets. They are several times softer than the 800 thread count Egyptian cotton set I ordered at double the price (I paid $45 for it). They felt almost as soft as well-worn pure beech sets. They felt cool, which is important to me. The color was as expected. All seams seemed to be well secured and I didn't find any significant threads sticking out. I washed them exactly as the label said and got excited to make my bed. Imagine my disappointment when the sheet barely covered my 15 inch mattress. And by barely, I mean that even after fiddling with it for 10 minutes to get it to fit as best as possible, the sheet still pulls down the center on each side, revealing the bare mattress underneath. I added a top sheet and it barely covers the mattress either. The pillowcases also seem a bit small, but they fit our pillows nicely. The envelope is deep and secure. I really, really *really* wanted to give it 5 stars because the material is so close to my favorite all-beech panels. But I just couldn't because the seller lied so openly about the size of the sheets. It's possible I got a defective kit, but I'm not sure enough to try again. Edit: The bed sheets also snagged badly after the first wash, even with the washing instructions being followed perfectly. Edit 2: I was quickly contacted by the seller and explained the problem with the sheets. They were nice and refunded my money saying that the problems were most likely due to a defective kit. I'm adding one star for their good customer service. I would suggest they offer "deep mattress" versions of the sheets. I would be happy to try a different set if I knew it would match my mattress. Edit 10/29/18: We used the sheets frequently for several months. Although they slip off a lot more easily and have a lot of little snags (because the set we received was obviously defective), they held up. The handles that were there after the first wash didn't increase much with repeated use, and few new ones were added. The material is even silkier and smoother after a few washes, and if it weren't for the wobbly fit and snags, this would be our favorite sheet set. We plan to purchase another set at some point in the hope of getting a flawless set.
