Patience and a little force will clear your drain, fantastic product!

We live in a house that was built on top of a stove with all the plumbing in the stove. Drain lines are cast iron. For nine years we had slow drains in the kitchen sink and bathtub and a few toilets every month. About every four months we broke down and called a plumber who poured some kind of chemical or a motorized snake down the pipes and then another and they had to clean it out too. We tried a lot: plumber's assistant, vinegar and baking soda, drain cleaner from every shelf, two lines of different lengths. There are many accusations that you need to dump drains into a septic tank. I was at the point where I wanted to pay big bucks to send a camera down the line and see what we were dealing with before we cut the plate. We chose Drain King. This is by far the best we've bought in the sanitary ware category. Read and follow the instructions, it couldn't be easier. We worked on the kitchen sink. There is a small learning curve, but be patient. If you have a water shut-off connector for the hose, you can do it yourself. If not, you need someone else. Connect the Drain King, use the nozzle if you have a cross drain. give him time Not much time. The bladder fills up and is difficult to hold. I haven't figured out how to get the auto lock to lock. This could be due to the sink drain as it has a crossbar or the tub I had to put it in at almost 45 degrees. Degree angle. Bladder is not punctured when pushing the four tabs down the drain. The Drain King doesn't seem to do anything for a while, then you can feel the pressure building, the sound changing as it goes into what I call pressure washer mode. And the bladder trembles like a jackhammer. Give it a little work and eventually it'll look like a garden hose again. The bathroom was by far the most aggravating circumstance. When I didn't drain it down the drain far enough, the water and mud rose back up through the overflow channel. After putting it in correctly, it took me about five minutes to erase the lines. It's been over a month now and all the drains are draining very well. I used it on the bathroom sink as the drain line was very rough (nearly 50 years of use) and nothing cleaned it. The Plum King deleted it faster than I can type. I think the Drain King should have included a water shut off connector or Revain included one with the purchase with this. We probably don't need this particular model. I'm sure we could use a smaller one; However, I wasn't sure if we would have to go through another pipe, maybe to clean the pipe. So why only four stars? I can't give 4 3/4. Kitchen or sink heads do not fit into any of our homes. I even bought one online, chrome plated just in case it didn't fit either. Kitchen sink faucet of recent model, bathroom sinks are original. If you're considering using their sink attachment for your hose, think again and go to the store to see if they have an attachment that fits your faucet. This is likely a standard and metric issue, or perhaps the age of the faucet. We just ran a hose through the bathroom window.
