Insert a white latch to switch from Park to First
Works great on a 1998 K1500 Extended Cab. Anyone who cannot get into first gear will find a black disposable item on the white tab on the gear fitting. Remove the black tab, but do not press the white clip yet. Connect the cable to the transfer ball and shift ball while both are in park. The transmission actuator is in the park position when it is rotated fully clockwise as viewed from the driver's side. With both ends connected and in the park position, insert the white clip and slide the black sleeve over it. It should then have a full range from Park to 1st.
