I was very skeptical about ordering a piece of furniture that I have not seen as most of my previous furniture has been made to order and I have high hopes for quality. I figured that for $100 I could use them for at least a few years and then buy something better. However, I am very impressed and happy with this item. I expect them to last as long as I want. I have ordered a pair. The first came a few days before the second. The first was packaged very nicely but the second was packaged differently and not as appropriate as the foam packaging was more damaged and wrinkled (could be a shipping issue but the first seemed better). The workmanship and finish of the first was perfect, but the second looked like a returned item as one of the legs had a screw hole indicating the screw had been previously installed and two of the legs were dented as if they were it would have been beat. assembly/disassembly tool, and the leg groove was not cut as sharply. I was a little disappointed with the second table, but once assembled, these "defects" did not require a return. The color went very well with the furniture I already have with espresso/merlot finishes. It is a dark brown color with hints of merlot (burgundy). The table is heavy and very durable after assembly. Some reviewers say the build is difficult, but it took me about 15 minutes to build. This is likely due to the presence of a Dewalt impact wrench, which made tightening the bolts easier. I also recommend NOT using the included standard drywall screws to attach the legs as the legs do not have pre-drilled screw holes and drywall screws do not have a head that would prevent over tightening which could break the screw. straighten the finished leg. Instead, purchase 1-1/4" Kreg screws or pan head screws as these screws are self-tapping and have a head type that prevents stripping. Also, do not fully tighten the center shelf screws until it is in place to allow some slack to position the screws that secure the top.
