Let me start by saying that for ME this was the best mat I have ever used. I have an Air Pad that I used on a trip last spring and it was fine. The difference between the two pads is that I didn't feel safe on the Air Pad in my "area" with a lot of movement. The air forced my "boys" to move from side to side, which made me feel unsteady when moving left or right in the saddle. This SKWOOSH sheepskin seat cover made me feel SAFE in the saddle. More planted seating. Less travel with MORE COMFORT. The air in the air cushion moves and also moves your genitals. So when trying to decide what to get, try this FIRST. If you're of the weaker sex, I'm not sure if this is about you. SHEEPSKIN is soft and warm but allows it to BREATH. If the bike has been in the sun, jumping back in the saddle won't cook your ass off. Overall this is a GREAT pillow, the shipping was FAST, the price is GOOD and the COMFORT is top notch. The cushion has a small volume of a standard "shock absorbing" type seat cushion. There is also a gel pad, this review does not apply to this pad.
