This is not a discussion about staged photographs, which account for 99 percent of the portfolio. At worst, get a D700 with this money so as not to change lenses, but to have multiple ready-made kits in advance. The only person who would recommend purchasing a crop lens, which is, in most cases, unnecessary for full-frame cameras, is a complete sucker for marketing. Even little may be said regarding this topic. It is very evident that the desire to take pictures of people, landscapes, or streets is not the motivation behind all of these purchases.
