I got this kit to clean some areas where my kitty has urinated during potty training. I was very worried that my mostly carpeted apartment would be damaged after a while. So I went and decided to block access to hard-to-reach places and do a good carpet cleaning beforehand. The application was quite easy and the results are very satisfactory. You vacuum the area, then water the carpet with the spray, dust the wet area with the powder, leave it on for a while, then vacuum and you're done. I haven't tried it for stain removal so I can't speak to its effectiveness in that area, but it did a great job of keeping your carpet feeling and smelling clean. I am prepared in case of an accident.
