Received this handset cord today to replace our 7ft cord. We're disappointed that this cable only offers a little over 9 feet of practical range. We will NOT stretch the cable more than 10 feet and risk damage or signal integrity. Instead, we connect both handset cables together. We use an RJ-11 jack-to-jack connector to conveniently extend the handset's range (by connecting both cords together). This gives us a range of around 16 feet (which is a bit excessive for our needs). However, this solution looks absolutely ridiculous and ugly when using such a connector. We only wanted 12ft range, NOT 9ft. Don't waste your time and effort returning a $7.99 item. We only hope that the product will continue to function reliably for many years to come. Just wanted to post our experience specifically with this product description. Many Thanks.
