Nice ski rack. Overall it does a good job of holding our pair of skis with ease. It is securely attached to the roof of the car via magnets. I'm very careful and a little concerned that this might scratch the roof of our car. The magnet is relatively stable and stays in place and secure, but I've found that it's not completely stationary. Of course it attaches securely to the roof of the car, but as I mentioned before it seems like it can move a bit, so we're using an extra ratchet strap, just for extra security. The locking mechanism is very simple and basic, but gives us enough security for a quick break when moving up and down the slope. While I don't think I'll be leaving this on my car forever, it's a great, quick and very easy way to get your skis on your car and take off. It doesn't store quickly and snaps into place immediately. For the money I can't beat the value.
