Review on πŸƒ Men's Merrell Trail Glove Monument Sneakers - Ideal for Outdoor Activities by Kevin Mills

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality of life improvements

I've owned multiple pairs of gloves of each version since version 2 and generally found that each new version is an improvement in one way or another. This version has more arch support and heel protection for regular walking and hiking when heel strikes are the norm, but it doesn't feel heavy or too bulky to ruin my natural stride. Lean forward for a jog or run and I find that the entire forefoot of the shoe remains minimalist enough to convey all of the underfoot information I've come to expect from a barefoot shoe. People who claim version 4 or earlier is better obviously don't remember how quickly their tracks wore out on rocky terrain. Versions 5 and 6 have a more durable tread pattern that doesn't wear out as quickly and somehow doesn't affect the feel in the forefoot. I don't think the sock isn't tight at all, but every foot is different. The lace-up structure of these shoes allows me to add as much density around the midfoot and forefoot as I need and I like that they're pretty tight.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Only suitable for certain types of running or walking
