These steel sponges are great for cleaning cast iron or carbon steel pans. We cook quite a bit in these pans, but they will darken over time if you don't wash them properly. I've been very lazy with mine and just decided to order them to deep clean my pans. On the photos you can see where I really cleaned and where the particles could come loose. You can also see the black on the edges of the pan which I haven't cleaned yet. They are really great and easy to use and the whole pack can last a year. worth your money. worth your money
