I wanted a little digital alarm clock with battery backup in case the power goes out for a while at night. The clock itself is quite small. Takes up very little space on the bedside table. The display is big enough to be seen well. Has multiple levels of brightness. I set it to the lowest level above off. If you adjust the brightness so that you can see it well during the day, it will probably be too bright at night. it was for me I didn't want to light up the room at night. (I think it can be used as a night light.) As other people have said, the instructions could be better. But I'm used to poorly written instructions for cheap products. If you read the instructions a few times and look closely at the pictures, you can find out. Things always get a bit quirky when you only have a few little knobs to program a lot of things. I have some experience writing user interface instructions. It is not easy. With this clock you can choose between five different alarm tones or be woken up by the radio. I chose radio. The station you wake up from may be different from the one you normally use during the day. This way you can use the radio during the day and not disturb your alarm clock settings. WARNING. You have to take a test. I set the alarm for a few minutes from the current time and waited. He woke up at the appointed time, but the volume was LOUD. There is a volume control on the back of the watch that is only used for the alarm volume. Set your preferred alarm level and you're done. After testing, set the clock to the correct alarm time. It offers two different wakeup settings. The second has not yet been used. For example, if you press the Alarm 1 button to turn on the alarm, the alarm will turn on every morning until you press the same button to turn off the alarm. After it wakes you up in the morning, all you have to do is press the "Radio" button to turn off the radio yourself. The alarm function is still active. The next morning, the clock wakes you up again at the set time. If you don't want to use the alarm the next morning (e.g. weekend), you need to press the Alarm 1 button again to turn off the alarm. On a Sunday evening, press the small button to turn the alarm back on. Pretty straight. As far as sound quality goes, that's to be expected for the price. But I didn't buy it for listening pleasure. I bought it to wake me up. The tuner seems fine. There were no problems receiving local FM stations. This whole box is small, so the control buttons are pretty small too. Maybe the buttons could be done differently, but that's how it is. It's functional. So far I'm happy with the little watch. Time will tell about its reliability.
