If you're traveling for business and you have a laptop with you, but you also need to make conference calls, then this is the device for you. The intelligibility of voice calls is good, you can also hear well. The volume can be impressively high for a simple USB device, and it's clear that the sound is specially tuned for voice. The sound quality is far superior to laptops, making it a great addition for audio on the go. It all ends here. Yes, it can be used as a lower volume speaker for a desktop setup, but once you get to higher volume levels the fact that this is a mono speaker with poor separation becomes apparent. This device should also never be used for gaming. Speakers connect to a microphone and have feedback regardless of the software used. This is exactly what happens with the speaker to which the microphone is connected. If you plan to use it for voiceover recordings. I'm afraid this is more of a speaker than a microphone and you should get a proper cardioid microphone. What, as they say. To be fair for what it was designed for I give it 4 stars. As a multi-purpose device I would give less. But I think it would be a good choice just for conference calls on the go. Bonus points for zeroing.
