A candle would be better
I've been a photographer for over three decades and I have quite a few flashes; and without a doubt, this is the worst Flash excuse I've ever used. It's no more powerful or brighter than the built-in flash on my Pentax K30. It cannot be mirrored even at high ISO values. This is supposed to be a pre-flash, but most of the time it doesn't work.
