I needed something light that could be worn with everything and was good for the office. I wanted to look composed without too much thought or effort. I wanted something to wear instead of jeans in the summer. I saw a paper bag skirt in a Banana Republic ad that I really liked and decided to see if I could find something more affordable. When the skirt arrived it was very wrinkled but had no chemical smell. I put it in the washing machine and dried it on low heat and was happy with the result. I never iron anything. I'm 5'3", 140, my waist is about 31" and I usually wear a size 10. I'm fairly well proportioned but have a small tummy bulge. too tight. It's like a fairly thick soft piece of rubber so it doesn't dig in too much. The photo was taken in a mirror, which I think makes me slimmer. I'm happy with the skirt and will probably wear it, it makes my hips appear a bit larger but I guess that's to be expected with the paper bag style. The color is similar to camel brown, definitely darker than khaki. As far as I can tell it looks well made and feels like cotton. I'm considering buying another light blue one. If they had blue chambray I would buy it in a heartbeat.
