These containers are excellent. The hard sides and hard lids will hold the vacuum for weeks without issue. The key here compared to other plastic vacuum containers is the hard plastic used in the containers - it won't bend or flex when the vacuum is applied (even in large containers). Another nice feature is the portable rechargeable vacuum device. Note. If you have a food container (or optional hose) with a round (not oval) vacuum nozzle, you can use it with these containers as well. The items can be washed in the dishwasher (just remove the white lid and the silicone stopper on the lid first.) Plastic does not absorb food odors or stains from sauces. They can also be used in the microwave without the lid. Some results: Chopped romaine lettuce stays fresh and crisp for up to seven days. Washed and dried berries are stored for up to two weeks. Cereal stored in a damp garage for 8 weeks for testing purposes still had a vacuum that worked to close the container even without the clasp and the flake was fresh and dry. Ideal for boat storage. The tomatoes on the branch lasted 9 days, while the tomatoes on the counter lasted four days. All in all a great investment to reduce food spoilage.
