I use this lock with a GunBox so it won't fall out in case of breakage. It attaches to the bed frame as an attachment point. I'm sure a thief with bolt cutters will have no problem cutting this cable, but it will definitely prevent a break-and-grip scenario where they may not be ready to cut the cable. I've also used this lock with a laptop and it will definitely keep it from coming loose if you step aside for a moment if it's tied to the correct anchor that you can't slip out of or pry the cord out of. This type of lock is great for securing monitors and desktops, as well as terminals with a reinforced Kensington slot.
