durable but inner gloves irritating

Purchased in 2010 - durability is AWESOME! I use them for winter cycling (more on warmth in a bit) and have gone down ice palms several times first - almost no marks on my palms. The material sewn to the palms is some kind of durable puncture resistant nylon material (I think). And the pieces are sewn so that they can move. This is not a piece of material. Plus, 5 years later, the stitching on these gloves is still intact - for everything. Didn't have to change anything. The ends are frayed a bit, but the seams don't come undone. Warm --- I don't think you can ride them to work in under 35 without another skinny pair underneath, and even with that I wouldn't go much under 29. My only COMPLAINT is #$%^&*! glove liners. In my experience (maybe I bought an undersized pair), when you're tempted to pull off those gloves on a cold commute to answer a phone, get something out of your pocket, adjust the volume on your headphones -- - NOT . The lining of the gloves falls out with your hands and you're screwed. You will find it difficult to get your hand back while cycling. When I get to the office, I have to be very careful not to pull out the earbuds when I take off my gloves. And even then, I have to use the rounded end of the all-rounder's cap to slide the inserts back into my fingers. Waterproof? as if. I don't drive to work in the pouring rain but get caught in the rain and your hands/fingers are slightly damp 40 minutes before work. I'm not sure if he enters through the cuff or not. I didn't put them in the sink with water like the other reviewer did. Of the road gloves I own, these and the lightweight pair I bought are the most water resistant.
