Miss idea of use.

The lip guard is too small to protect the lips from cold or hot drinks when using metal straws. I love that you can close the mouth tip of the straw when not in use. The bottom tip, which no longer sticks in the glass, has no hole and so can only be useful for covering the bottom of a straw for travel or for storing after cleaning.
