5.25" bays are still very useful these days, even though more and more PC cases these days are choosing not to include any bays at all. This particular hot-swappable bay is an extremely useful tool, especially if you do a lot of data work. I like to take frequent backups of my data in case of a failure, and this dock makes opening up the PC and manually connecting the drive from the inside a lot easier. Installation in my Fractal Design Define R5 case was very easy and screws are included, but you will need to use your own SATA cables and power connectors. Once installed, it's ready to go. Just plug in the drive and turn it on. The blue light indicates it is on. After a few seconds the drive is recognized in Windows 10 and I can read and write to the drive as if it were plugged in internally. It's very helpful and I'm very glad I got it!
