I use this fabric, cut it into 1 square foot, put all the spices in it and tie it off. Then place it in a saucepan to cook with the rest of the veggies, and the spice flavors will be absorbed by the veggies while the spices themselves remain in the fabric. This makes biryani very tasty and you don't have to worry about chewing on those spices. So far, so good.
